Craig is a Registered Engineer with over 30 years experience in the planning and design of transport infrastructure projects. Craig is Managing Director of Tipec and responsible for business development, client management in addition to project management, technical input and review. Areas of expertise include:

Laura Taborda

Design Manager BEngSci

Laura has over 14 years’ experience in the planning and design of infrastructure projects, for both government and private development throughout Queensland. She is experienced in the use of AutoCAD and 12D and has developed projects from the conceptual stage through to detailed design. Areas of expertise include:

  • Planning and Design of Urban and Rural Infrastructure
  • Planning and Design of Urban Development
  • Proficiency in the use of 12D and AutoCAD for the design of bulk earthworks, roadworks, water and sewer, and stormwater drainage.
  • TUFLOW modelling for stormwater catchments.

  • Blackspot Funding Project FCRC, Bideford Street/Colyton Street Roundabout – Concept planning, detailed design and documentation associated with intersection upgrade, including roundabout geometry design, stormwater upgrades, turnpath assessments, and planning pedestrian usuage.
  • Tooth Street, Hervey Bay – Concept planning, detailed design and documentation associated with road upgrade for Fraser Coast Regional Council, including road design, pavement design, shared footpath design, and stormwater drainage design.
  • WBW Pipeline and Trunk Watermains, Fraser Coast – Detailed design and documentation associated with the design of over 20 projects in various locations across the Fraser Coast, including horizontal and vertical design, preparation on construction drawings, and preparation of project estimates.
  • Stages 3-5 Neighbourhood Park Estate Residential Subdivision, Hervey Bay – Masterplan detailed design and documentation associated with the 63 lot development, including bulk earthworks, road design, water and sewerage reticulation, stormwater drainage, and preparation of estimate of cost.

Todd Richards

Student Engineer

Todd is a Student Engineer, currently studying civil engineering at CQU while working at Tipec and learning the basics of roads and stormwater design and mastering the use of AutoCAD and 12D software.

Todd is a highly skilled bricklayer, won top prize at the 2012 Worldskills Australia National Competition and was subsequently awarded a leadership scholarship in Wales. In 2019 Todd decided on a career change, exchanging the bricklaying tools for a keyboard and profession as a civil engineer.

Todd’s construction industry background, attention to detail and diligence has allowed him to quickly adapt to his new civil engineering role and he has enhanced Tipec’s ability to provide fit for purpose design, bill of quantities and construction estimates.

Melissa Teer

Business Services Manager

Melissa is Tipec’s Business Services Manager and is responsible for the daily administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll, website and HR management. She is also a member of the Corporate Management Team and undertakes the role of Quality Manager, Environmental manager and Work Health and Safety Manager.
